INTRODUCING MR. AND MRS. PADALECKI

It's official my SPN lovelies, our bb Jared is off the market and tied down to Genevieve Cortese!!

Contrary to popular speculation, our Supernatural boy went through with the wedding this time on February 27, someplace in Idaho.

Jared and Gen at the altar

Thanks to The_Gossip_Boy for the wedding pic!

Aaaw Jared looks so fudging cute in his tux ;)

As I may have mentioned before, I personally disapprove of Gen, but if she's the one that he's chosen then so be it. She better make him happy. . . .OR ELSE.

UPDATE March 13, '10 : MOAR PICS & INFO ABOUT JARED'S WED!

*iz dazzled*

the newlyweds with friends

the boys with the knife maker of the groomsmens' gifts!

Jensen looking all shiny & gorgeous with the groomsmens' knife gift!

the couple!

These pics were posted by one of Gen's closest friends, Suz, on her blog. Her husband is the man who made the knives that were given as gifts to the groomsmen.

each knife has the groomsman's initials on the blade

She has a couple of posts about the trip to the wedding and the main event as well.

Here are some of the stuff about the wedding she posted that has bits about the boys :

"This Idaho wedding was a complete winter motif. From the "save the date" postcard of a couple sledding down a snowy mountain, to the letter press invitations, ski lift tickets were our place cards, and table assignments named after Sun Valley ski runs. Yes, at the lodge there was a moose head over the fireplace. We were asked to sit in a heated clear enclosure that faced the snowy landscape. The groomsmen filed in, and the groom followed and turned to see where his bride was.
As Gen came around the corner I was watching Jared's face. He had tears in his eyes. When their eyes met they both began to cry. At that moment it was clear what all the songs are written about. There wasn't a person in the room who couldn't feel their love for each other. I cried through the entire ceremony. I cried on and off all evening. Because I was so happy for Gen."

"At dinner Jared went from Groomsman to Groomsman delivering the knives. Jensen was at our table. Before he received his, another Groomsman came to the table to show him his knife. Jensen oohed and aahed, and when the man walked away Jensen hung his head: "I wish I got a knife" he murmured into his plate. Moments later Jared came to our table and gave Jensen his knife. The expression on his face and Bob's face watching Jensen get his gift made my evening. Bob rarely gets to see someone get a knife he has made as a gift. As the evening went on-Bob, Jensen and the other crew guests at our table had some pretty colorful conversation. Bob was so pleased that the guys were so pleased.
Bob and I have been so impressed by Gen & Jared's stellar behavior as actors in real life. Believe me, I have seen plenty of actors behaving badly. These 3 young adults are what the movie biz calls: "Number 1 on the call sheet." Meaning, they are the stars of the TV shows they are on. Now Jensen was added to our pedestal with Gen and Jared."

"Our time was too short together. I wanted to talk to everyone more. I am told they are coming through town this spring. I can't wait. Jared had to go back to finish shooting the rest of his TV show."

Aaw, I felt guilty reading the part where Jared had to go back to finish our Beloved Show. I feel like his personal time was interrupted by the show, like he had to hurry to get back to work. Yeah, it's his job but it still makes me feel kinda guilty for the dude. Sorry Jared :(

But I'm glad we learn from one of their closest friends that Jared is happy with Gen :)

its so surreal that Jared has a freaking wife now,

SPOILERPOST//SUICIDAL SUPERNATURAL

We gots a new spoil via AskAusiello who got it straight from the Gambler's mouth regarding the 100th episode!

BLOCK TO DE BOTTOM TO READ AS PER USUAL BBS.

The 100th episode that will be airing on April 15 is where one of the important characters makes a very critical decision.

”A very important character will sacrifice themselves in a suicide mission,” reveals exec producer Sera Gamble. “We definitely kept in mind that this was [an important] episode. We wanted to deliver something with real scope; it’s about the Archangel Michael."

WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDGE?

The Gambler also adds, "Crises will come to a head for Dean and Castiel. And you’ll see characters you never thought you’d see again.”

It has been said before that the 100th episode will be focused around Dean's relationship with Michael and will possibly be a special longer-duration episode.

ANOTHER COMEBACK YOWZ

More news of another comeback from a great character on Beloved Show!!

Hint : she will always be the first lady in all the Winchester men's hearts

Answer : MARY WINCHESTER IS BAACK!

Not the young one but the older one that has always been played by the one and only Samantha Smith!

She writes on her Facebook stat :

Hey all- look for Mary to return in a few weeks, when Supernatural is back on air. It's a good one! Hope you're all doing great!

Since Mama W dies when Sam's still a baby, I'm thinking she could either be coming back in a flashback, OR maybe come back as something else in the "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid" episode.

But it could also be someway else. You never know with this show ;)

IF CROWLEY PLAYS THE VILLAIN

Been seeing a lot of news on our speculated-to-be-gay demon Crowley on Supernatural, who's played by the wonderful Mark Sheppard.

Here is more of this well-known baddie from an interview with iFMagazine where he talks about Beloved Show and Crowley's character :

iF Magazine (IM) : Recently, you’ve been playing a lot of very confident, in-charge characters – so Crowley on SUPERNATURAL may be a little concerned about where he’s living –
SHEPPARD: In a castle watching Leni Riefenstahl movies, drinking blood, yes. Kind of fun.

IM : Do we know if Crowley’s coming back this season?
SHEPPARD: Yes, I’m back. I called [SUPERNATURAL creator] Eric [Kripke] and said, “Shall we leak this?” He said, “Absolutely.” I said, “What shall we come up with?” We came up with, “Crowley forms an unholy alliance.” It’s a great character, it’s a fabulous character. It’s written by Ben Edlund, one of my favorite writers of all time ~ MINE TOOS MARK! ~. I’ve worked with him in several capacities, worked with him on FIREFLY. I’ve always been a big fan of his work. I’m a huge fan of THE TICK [which Edlund created]. THE TICK is one of the greatest written, drawn and visualized masterpieces of modern times. "Spoon!" There is a thing to him that is fantastic. He has an incredibly dry sense of humor, very, very intelligent man, very witty, very dry and a truly lovely human being. The times that I’ve met him, I’ve always left smiling. And I pick up a script [for the SUPERNATURAL episode “Abandon All Hope”] and I’m looking at a script and it says I’m making out with a seventy-year-old man. Now, they couldn’t find a seventy-year-old man that would kiss me at the crossroads. It was hysterical. They couldn’t find a seventy-year-old man who’d kiss any man in Canada. I don’t think it was me personally. So they lowered it to sixty-five. We were lucky enough to find L. Harvey Gold, who’s wonderful, best known probably as a voice actor, plays a lot of judges on TV shows. I’ve seen him in tons of stuff. Really nice guy, but I think he was nervous as all hell.

IM : Is Crowley a gay demon or was he just trying to make Gold’s banker character uncomfortable?

SHEPPARD: What do you think? Because he kisses a guy, does that make him gay? Don’t you think that his idea is to make the banker – "piggy banker," I love that line, “you piggy banker” – to make him as uncomfortable as possible? To substitute himself for a blonde? ~ lol i think that piggy banker was just secretly gay ~

IM : Crowley is the first supernatural entity you’ve played. Do you play him any differently than you play humans?
SHEPPARD: Yeah. He’s not human. He’s a demon. Demons are far more interesting. I love the idea that there’s not an ounce of fear, not one iota of fear at all. There’s that great moment when I’m in my office and Sam [played by Jared Padalecki] pulls the gun. He puts it to my forehead, I’m sitting there with Jared, the gun’s to my forehead, he pulls the trigger and I’m, “You need some more ammunition for that.” There’s never an instance where Crowley doesn’t know what’s happening. There’s never an instance where Crowley isn’t literally two steps ahead. He’s superhuman. He’s beyond the concept of human. And they’re just mere mortals, as far as I’m concerned.

IM : But if Crowley runs into somebody like Lucifer …?
SHEPPARD: We’ll see how Crowley behaves with anybody else that he might run into. I don’t think it’s any coincidence that me and Mark [Pellegrino, who plays Lucifer] were in the show. If you’re going to have some good villains, you’re going to have some really good ones.

IM : Although Crowley is fairly fearless, Lucifer is sort of formidable.
SHEPPARD: Yeah. But I mean, you’re kind of stuck with the Devil, because the Devil either wins or he doesn’t. The Devil doesn’t partially win anything. You can cheat the Devil for awhile, very rarely. Demons have other agendas. Crowley’s agenda is he only wants to stop the Devil. There’s a reason he wants to stop the Devil, because he believes that the demons will be next. They’re only one step up from the humans. He hates humans, but he hates demons just as equally.

IM : We’re all wondering what they’re going to do about finding God on SUPERNATURAL.
SHEPPARD: It’ll be interesting. That would’ve been my role, I’m sure, if I’d waited long enough [laughs].

IM : You were also in three episodes of DOLLHOUSE, which sort of circles back to Ben Edlund, as you both previously worked with Joss Whedon on FIREFLY, where you played Badger. Was DOLLHOUSE a good experience?
SHEPPARD: Of course it was a good experience. Any time that I get to see my friends, hang out with Tahmoh [Penikett, who Sheppard worked with on BATTLESTAR GALACTICA] – that was a really good experience.

IM : How did it compare to working on FIREFLY?
SHEPPARD: I think FIREFLY is a very different thing for [Whedon]. I think FIREFLY, if done now, would be the best series on television. I really believe it. Because there’s something about how most of what he [set out to do] actually was realized, as opposed to every other compromise that he’d had to make to that point. They ran with it and then they shut it down. It’s really sad. I don’t think DOLLHOUSE reached its potential. Some wonderful talent. I’m a huge fan of Joss. Back to Ben, there are different sides to the Whedon world, as you know. Tim [Minear] is very different from Joss, who’s very different from Ben, who’s very different from Jane [Espenson]. I’ve worked with all of them. I’m fans of them all and they all have different, wonderful strings to their bows. Television is a very special medium. It’s a very precious medium. It’s competing for all of our hours, our entertainment hours. Movies are movies, but if we get into a show and we want to watch a show, we’re having to commit to this amount of time [it takes to watch a season of a series]. So if you’re going to give me THE WIRE, I want it to be good, I don’t want it to be a poor rendition. We look for the HILL STREET BLUES and the great series that were out there, the NEWS RADIO's and all of those strange anomalies, the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA's and everything else. I think, with the greatest respect to network, [the compelling series are] getting fewer and far between on network, because I think there’s so much going on on network that is about difficulty of business. I was [working for NBC] two years ago with BIONIC WOMAN. I was paid not to work. I watched something go from being very, very good to the worst clusterf*ck I’ve ever seen in my entire life, and that’s got nothing to do with the talent or the abilities. It has to do with the time and the situation that the studio was in and the situation that the world was in at the time and that our business was in at the time. Very, very scary to watch. A rollercoaster of decisions can derail [a show], just by deviating one degree from your original idea. What’s fascinating is, NBC has just run on with a media conglomerate, which includes five of the most successful cable companies in the world. SyFy, Bravo, USA – I don’t know how many hit shows we are talking.

IM : And clearly the company likes you, because they put you on all of their shows.
SHEPPARD: Well, it’s the same people. I’m treated wonderfully by NBC and its affiliates, from Tom Lieber, Todd Sharp, who’s now over at EUREKA – these guys are really, really important to me – [former LEVERAGE co-executive producer] Amy Berg’s now over at EUREKA. Todd Sharp left the production end of Universal and went into the private sector and went over to EUREKA. It’s wonderful to see him do that, because he’s a wonderful facilitator. He’s a man who’s been instrumental when I was on MONK – Tom Lieber’s another great friend, Eric Storey and Mark Stern and all these people. You know what you’re going to get. You’re going to get a great guest star shot. The best honor that I’ve had is when WAREHOUSE 13 came up. I was in New York doing something for a videogame and I get a phone call, and it’s like nine-and-a-half pages of dialogue on Monday. SyFy asked, “Can you do it?” “This Monday?” “Yeah.” It’s Saturday. I went, “Absolutely. I’m in New York, I’ll fly up.” They wanted a rehearsal, just in case. It was CCH Pounder and Saul Rubinek and I went out to a diner, directed by Eric Laneuville – I mean, you’re talking about some really nice people to have around. And I got to meet Jack Kenny, who is a huge fan of THE BOOK OF DANIEL. The man is a great writer. I watched him take WAREHOUSE 13 into that new evolution and create a hit out of it. I think it was fantastic to watch it and take part in that, but to have SyFy go, “Nine-and-a-half pages? Get Mark,” is an honor and it shows their faith that Tom Lieber and Eric and Dave Howe and everybody else has put in me. They’re very important in my career, as is Dean [Devlin, executive producer of LEVERAGE] for the same reason. I mean, Dean is a studio in his own right and they didn’t have to cast me at all.

Luci vs Crow hoedown? DO WANT.

This is actually the 2nd part of a supposed four-part interview, checkout iFMagazine if you want to see the 1st part.

After the end of the previous series RISING SON several years ago, now comes a brand new Supernatural comic book series titled BEGINNING'S END!

the #1 issue cover yow!

This series will be having the Winchesters monster hunting in New York, covering events after Sam had graduated Stanford ~ in the comic Sam actually got to go to college ~

PROJECT SIR POST

Just realized I have never made a Jeffrey Dean Morgan ~ aka JDM aka Sir!John ~ post here.

UNACCEPTABLE

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
you know you're messed up when even Burnout!Cas thinks so

So I've gathered news on what's what with our ruggedly gorgeous Papa Winchester.

Last I heard, Sir was about to release a movie called "The Losers" that is a comic-based film and features a great cast, which a side from JDM himself also includes Zoe Saldana and Chris Evans ~ FYI Evans' character's name in the movie is JENSEN lol ~

THE LOSERS TRAILER

Video courtesy hollywoodstreams

Release date has been moved again to April 23.

Whenever it's out I am definitely watching this.

IT'S JEFFREY DEAN FUDGING MORGAN AND IT'S BASED ON COMICS. Enough said.

Tis a busy bee, JDM has already been reported to be signing up for two other upcoming movies :

1) The Unblinking Eye - plays an ex-detective named John Callisto ~ playing another John huh? how bouts you come back and play my fav John ever ~ who retires after nearly getting murdered by a serial killer. Gets nagged on by a journalist and the two start to unravel each others pasts.

2) Fields - playing a NY-based detective who tries to help a local investigator ~ played by Sam Worthington from Avatar ~ solve a string of murders.

Stop playing detective/cop and come back to Beloved Show and be the hunter you are, Jeff! >:-O

the Gambler needs to make Sir's return happen,

SPOILER POST//GIDDY UP BANGS

BLOCK THE POST TO READ AS YUSH, PEEPS

Supernatural is ready to introduce us to the 3rd horseman, Pestilence.

He is described as a 40-50 year old man, quirky, unassuming, very intelligent, neurotic, and apparently has a forever-lasting cold.

His masterplan for reaking havoc : bio-terrorism.

There's also gonna be a surprise ~ and complication ~ from the past for bb Sammy as an old friend from Stanford named Tyson who is now working for a pharmaceutical company wants to capitalize on a disgusting flu virus by providing the vaccine.

CASTIEL'S CONTRACT

Since the news about a sure season 6 for Supernatural, we've secured the questions that haunted us, like about Kripke staying and the 6th season storyline.

But what about our Overlord Master MishMish?

E!Online manages to gather some inside info about it.

They say that until this moment right now, Misha's contract is just through to the end of Season 5. It's understandable since when the contract was made there was still no plan for another season beyond the 5th.

Hopefully, in the near future we will get the news about his contract renewal when the writers have sorted out their storyline plot.

Well, when you think about it, Cas showed up on the show because he was a part of the Heaven vs Hell thing. If it was any other way I don't think we'd have gotten to meet him. And the Gambler has already assured us that the Apocalypse shiz will end this season.

Does that also mean no more Castiel?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! >:-O

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
master misha understands what i'm talkin about!

It IS possible that Cas will still stick around with the boys after the Apocalypse blows over. He should and MUST. I can't imagine a Supernatural world without fudging Castiel.

6 HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE LUCKY NUMBER

Supernatural officially on for a 6th season!

I KNEW IT!

An official press release from CW via SpoilerTV spills about the 5 shows of the network that are going to be re-newed for another season. The PR goes on about that new vampire show, 90210, and blabla, but we don't really care about that part. This is what it had to say regarding SPN's pick-up :

The network also renewed fan favorite SUPERNATURAL, which will enter its sixth season next year. SUPERNATURAL has one of the most loyal audiences of any show on television and does heroic work in a perennially tough time period. It has improved over last season among women and adults 18-34 (29% and 8%, respectively) this season, a remarkable accomplishment for a fifth-year show.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
more of THIS? YES PLZ

DAMN STRAIGHT WE'RE THE MOST LOYAL AUDIENCE IN TV HISTORY EVER.

And yeah, Beloved Show is just so awesome they had to do another season :)

So the furthermore question is : WILL THE KRIPKING BE WITH US FOR 6TH?
Maureen Ryan from TheWatcher got the 3-word answer we were hoping for :

"Yes, he's back"

MR was able to write in a letter to Sera Gamble ~ another one of the talented writers on SPN ~ and got a reply as such :
"No, you will not be getting Apocalypse, The Squeaquel in Season 6 (that's hilarious). We're climaxing that story this season. We've been working on the Season 6 storyline for quite some time, and we're very excited about it. We have lots of ideas, and are grateful for the chance to keep the show going. Please tell the fans that the writers say thank you! We so appreciate the support."

"We've been working on the Season 6 storyline for quite some time"

OH YOU SNEAKY EVIL GENIUS WRITERS, YOUU

It's also been confirmed that Gamble is going to be the one calling the main shots on this final season, but with Kripke still near.

BOBBY'S GATE TO RUSSIA

Sci-fi website FarGate (Russia) got an exclusive interview with the idjit-hating Bobby on our show, Jim Beaver!

We learn lotsa new things about this trucker-hat dude :

FarGate (FG) : Don`t you think that nowadays TV series tend to be deeper and more interesting than most of the big screen movies? What do you think about this tendency?
Jimbo : I agree, there`s a lot more serious, thoughtful drama on television than in the movie theatres these days, at least in terms of a percentage of the things available. There are and will always be intelligent, meaningful films, but they must compete nowadays for theatre space against huge action and adventure films that make much more money, and are less likely to get much attention in theatres. But on television, there are many more opportunities for writers to create important and emotionally rich stories. I think there will always be a battle between art and commerce, and as long as there`s an outlet to serve the thoughtful drama, it will thrive, whether it`s in theatres or on television.

FG : What do you think about modern cinema?
Jimbo : I see a few films every year that I like a great deal, but far fewer than I used to. Much of what is highly successful in modern cinema doesn`t interest me. I have very little interest in superhero or monster or horror or science fiction movies, generically, yet every year even one of those categories will have something wonderful. DISTRICT 9, for example, is a science fiction movie, but it`s also a brilliant drama, one of my favorites of last year ~ aaw yeah, that movie had the saddest sci-fi movie ending EVER ~

FG : Which modern movie stars would you like to play with?
Jimbo : The great thing about working with big movie stars is that you generally get paid pretty well and lots of people see your work. Other than that, I`m much more interested in the actors I work with being strong and effective than famous. I think George Clooney and Brad Pitt, from what I`ve heard, would be wonderful to work with, and I like the films they make. I`ve managed to be in the same film with Kevin Spacey, Meryl Streep, Tom Cruise, and Nicolas Cage without ever working with them in person, so sometimes evenb being in the same movie isn`t enough! ~ WHAT?! brb searching Jim's imdb ~

FG : Bobby is a big expert in a mystical and occult literature. What about yourself, are you interested in such things?
Jimbo : Bobby and I differ on these things. I have very little, if any, interest in the occult and the mystical. I'm interested more in what I can see and hear, and I`ve never seen or heard anything mystical. But then, of course, Bobby`s seen a lot more than I have!

FG : What is Bobby occupied with in his spare time when he`s not giving advices to Winchester brothers.
Jimbo : I`m sure Bobby has his own hunting tasks, and of course, he`s got his wrecking yard to attend to.

FG : How does Bobby earn his living?
Jimbo : He owns a wrecking yard, where he dismantles and sells parts from junk automobiles.

FG : We could not help noticing that many of your characters in different series wear a cap. Is that a part of your personal style or just a part of scenic image?
Jimbo : I`ve always liked hats, but it was never a particular choice of mine to wear one until these roles came along. I wear a baseball cap all the time in real life because I have to keep my hair pretty long for the role of Bobby, and I find it easier to keep my hair out of my eyes with a cap ~ remember that dream walking ep? BOBBY WITH NO HAT IS STRANGE ~

FG : We know that nowadays Americans tend to visit psychological counseling. Is Bobby doing the same to live through his disability since he can`t walk anymore?
Jimbo : While I in real life am a great believer in counseling, I fear that Bobby is more the sort of person who would try to work out his problems himself, without help. I think that`s a weakness on Bobby`s part, because it takes a strong person to reach out for help.

FG : How do you think could Bobby get over his disability? Will he stop thinking about himself as a useless person?
Jimbo : I don`t know how Bobby will cope with his disability. That`s up to the writers. But I think he will eventually reach a resolution with himself and have a positive life.

FG : Did you meet Jensen on the film set of Days of Our Lives for the first time?
Jimbo : I`m pretty sure I had a scene or two with Jensen on Days of Our Lives, but it was probably a large church scene, a wedding or a funeral. I don`t remember actually talking to him on that show, and he doesn`t remember either. We`ve talked about that a few times. I`d love to see a picture of us together then, but I don`t even know if one exists.

FG : Is it true that Jensen is involved in the photography? Did you see any of his works? Is there any chance that we can see them?
Jimbo : don`t know anything about Jensen`s photography. This question is the first I`ve heard of it ~ lol me too jim ~

FG : Jensen said that he preferred to work in TV series rather than in movies because TV series mean steady earnings. And why are you in series?
Jimbo : I don`t have the luxury to pick and choose among projects. I take what work I can get, and feel very fortunate to have this particular job. A series is indeed good, because it makes one`s life a little more predictable. But I like making movies, and if I got to make enough of them, I`d enjoy that just as much, I`m sure.

FG : How do you like to spend your vacations? Do you like to travel, or maybe just lie down on the beach near the sea?
Jimbo : I love to travel, but most of my travel is connected to work. When I have time off, I usually like to stay home, see movies, read, visit friends. I love going to new places where I have not been before, though.
FG : What of the most interesting sight-seeing places across the world would you like to visit?
Jimbo : I`ve always wanted to visit the island kingdom of Tonga in the South Pacific. I hope to visit there this spring for the first time. I would also like to visit Antarctica sometime.

FG : What about your spare time? How would you prefer to spend it? With a book on a couch or watching a play in a theater or a movie in a cinema?
Jimbo : I love movies and books. I can be very happy sitting at home for days reading and watching movies. But I like to go to the theatre as often as possible, and I enjoy the occasional baseball game.

FG : We know that Misha is in to carpentry. Do you like to make something with your own hands as well?
Jimbo : I used to draw, specializing in charcoal portraits. But I lost interest years ago and haven`t done anything like that in a long time. I still keep my art supplies nearby, but rarely use them. I`m not very good at making things, I`m afraid.

FG : Do you have any hobbies?
Jimbo : I love reading and writing about film history. I also enjoy horseback riding, but I don`t do it very often.

FG : What sort of beer do you prefer?
Jimbo : I don`t drink beer. I don`t like it.

FG : Do you like cooking? If so which dishes are you best in cooking with?
Jimbo : I`m not a very good or experienced cook. I sometimes cook a little chicken, but mostly I eat frozen dinners or at restaurants.

FG : You are familiar with the word cinema history. What are your top ten movies from this prospective?
Jimbo : My top ten movies sometimes shift, depending on my mood. But several are almost always on the list:
The Searchers (1956)
Ride the High Country (1962)
Farewell My Lovely (1975)
The Tall T (1957)
Yojimbo (1962)
Seven Samurai (1954)
Under Fire (1983)
The Grapes of Wrath (1940)
Casablanca (1942)
Out of the Past (1947)

FG : You wrote 4 scripts for Alfred Hitchcock Presents. How was it to be on the other side of TV camera?
Jimbo : It was very rewarding seeing my scripts come to life on screen, and the show was a lot of fun. It`s much harder work, writing, than acting, so I don`t exactly miss it. But I enjoyed the process a great deal and I learned a lot.

FG : Do you like horror movies? What do you think about Jensen`s and Jared`s works in My Bloody Valentine and Friday the 13th? Did you have other cinematographic activities beside your work as an actor?
Jimbo : I`m not a fan of horror movies, particularly. There are exceptions, of course. I think The Exorcist and Alien were impressive and exceptionally effective horror movies. But I don`t care much for slasher movies. I confess I haven`t seen either of Jensen`s or Jared`s horror movies. Aside from acting, I don`t do much in film terms. I`ve written a few scripts and I directed my first film this past year, a short film based on one of my theatre plays. Most of the time, I`m content to act.

FG : There were these handcrafted embroideries that we pass on to Jensen and Jared. Do you happen to know whether they reached their recipients or not?
Jimbo : I haven`t seen these before. They`re beautiful. I know nothing about whether they reached the boys or not. The production office handles those things, usually.

FG : You know several Russian words. How did you learn them?
Jimbo : I really only know the words for "thank you" and "goodbye," and maybe one or two others. I love languages and would love to speak Russian, but I`ve never actually studied it, and without a dictionary, I`m helpless!

FG : Is there any chance you visit Russia? Maybe an unofficial visit?
Jimbo : I would LOVE to visit Russia. I have no plans to go, but I would never turn down an opportunity to see your amazing country. It would be thrilling.

FG : Do you plan on writing another book? If so what kind of book will it be?
Jimbo : I have been researching another book for many years, long before my recent book. It`s a biography of the 1950s television actor George Reeves, who was the first actor to play Superman on television. I also have a novel in the works. But I`m very slow, and do not know when I will finish either of these projects.

FG : What do you think about translation of books, movies etc into other languages? Is it better when a translation is as close as possible to the original or should it be adapted to a different culture and different experience of people who speak another language?
Jimbo : I think translation should best capture the spirit of the original, even if certain precise literal words or phrases must be altered. If a reader or viewer in another language cannot understand what the author`s intent was, it does not matter whether the translation was a good one or not.

FG : Which of two approaches mentioned above will you prefer have your book translated into another language?
Jimbo : I think my answer to #27 would apply to this question, too. Some cultural and idiomatic things do not translate well literally, and must be adapted so that they make sense in the new culture.

looks like jimbo's a history buff pretty much like bobbeh,
