AWESOME!RUBY GETS RECZ IN PLACE

RUBY.

Ah yes, the fierce demon we loved to hate so much ~ or secretly loved to love ~ broke on the screen of our Supernatural in the 3rd season.

This demon gone rogue was brilliantly played by the lovely Katie Cassidy. With her badass attitude and killer fighting skills that would put any man to shame, she made it really hard to know what was exactly what.
Was she there to help the boys? Or was it some mega-scheme to help the evil in disguise?

But unfortunately, the role was not continued by Katie when the 4th season came around. Ruby lost her old vessel ~ aka Katie Cassidy's bod ~ and had to come in form with a new one. And to be honest, the New!Ruby was not even half of what Old/Awesome Ruby was. I don't really blame Genevieve Cortese though ~ the actress who played out New!Ruby ~. I blame Katie's fab performance that I think would be a hard act to follow for any other actress at all.

Katie has then since moved on to play a new role on the re-make of the hit series Melrose Place with a new fierce character named Ella Simms. Even though she did not get her recognition from her performance in Supernatural, this Ella character did, getting Entertainment Weekly naming her one of their Breakout TV Stars of 2009!

EW says :

"It's hard to imagine the Melrose Place apartment complex being big enough for two bitchtastic blonde's in heels, but Katie Cassidy's Ella Simms is giving Heather Locklear's Amanda Woodward a run for her money. After spending much of this summer running through the woods screaming on CBS' Harper's Island, Cassidy is the breakout player of the CW's reboot of the 90's hit series-and she's having a blast as ruthless publicist Ella. "It's fun to play the villain," admits Cassidy, 23. "I wanna do it more [laughs]."

CONGRATULATIONS RUBY-i mean, KATIE !
